1. You're making an album? At age 16?! That's so cool (even if you're only going to release it on Bandcamp or whatever).
2. I've also been trying to achieve a bigger following, and here are some ways I've thought of to do that:
i. Be more active in the forums. Newgrounds has tons of various media that you can communicate through, and while the audio review page is a cool one, the forums are a great way to extend your presence to a whole new audience of people who don't necessarily click on your songs all the time. Try using the Audio Forum Lounge, Review Request Club, or Audio Advertisements.
ii. Upload songs more often. People will grow more familiar with your content and be more likely to leave a review/start following you. I know that the only reason I've clicked on names like Deshiel, DJ Vast, and Thndr is because I've seen their names in the "Brand Spankin' New Audio" tab time and time again.
iii. Make general-interest content (this doesn't necessarily apply to music). You could make an amusing news post with some of your favorite jokes, or start an interesting forum convo about politics. Either way, people will follow you just for being a positive and active member of the community.
iv. Review people's content more often, and not just their songs. They'll be much more likely to review/favorite you if you show an interest in their content first. I got my first 6 or 8 fans just because I reviewed their music, not because they liked mine.
v. Create a larger presence on the Internet as a whole: create a YouTube, Soundcloud, Bandcamp, Facebook, or Twitter account (you've pretty much got this covered, though, TeraVex).
3. Yeah, it can be hard to make original content. I've definitely had my fair share of influence from old Garageband songs in the past. However, I would recommend playing around on your trumpet or guitar for half an hour or so, and seeing what that produces. Most of my first songs stemmed from old riffs I made in 7th grade after doodling around on my cello for a while. ;)
Sooooo....hope this was helpful, TeraVex, and sorry if I got carried away! ;D
Oh it's okay man! This information you've given me is very helpful!
I actually have made a youtube, soundcloud, bandcamp and a facebook.
My most followed page would probably be facebook, which as of right now has 52 likes.
