Hi!! Hope your New Year's is going well! For 2020, I've decided to challenge myself in my New Year's Resolution. My Resolution is to publish a beat once a week! The goal of this year long exercise is to get better and more efficient at songwriting! Previously, I would only write music if I had an idea or was inspired and I do have a lot of ideas! Here's the kicker though, that's not always how it's gonna be! So, with this year long journey I'm going to just write new pieces and publish one every Friday!

With that being said, I am a day early with this week's piece! You can find it here! I invite anyone who is interested to join me on this journey~! Together, we will improve and grow as Musicians/Producers/Composers etc!

Not only am I making more frequently, I'm also increasing my presence on the internet! What do I mean by this? Well, I'm making an effort to stream every day! So, I'll be honest with ya, 2020 is gonna be a wild ride in terms of music content from me and here's why: this new album coming out in June is a complete shift in genre and sound and I'm afraid it will be a bit too polarizing for those who mainly enjoy my more electronic music. That being said, I'd like to make this clear now: from this point forward, genre is no longer going to be consistent. As a producer/composer I will be writing what I want to write or how I feel in the moment, and if that means writing a whole bunch of vibes that sound completely different from one another then so be it! I thought about creating another alias for the more polarizing stuff, but I've come to the decision to not do that, as I don't want to spread the listener base out too much! Just had to let everyone be in the loop about this! Anyways, that's all I've got for today! I hope your holidays were full of safety and joy!

You're probably wondering what this album I'm working on is about.

Well firstly, it's NOT a techno/dance/DnB album in any sort of way. I'm moving away from those genres, I want to expand my horizons to something new and this album I feel like is a good use for it. It's going to contain a whole bunch of different styles in which I will attempt (keyword *attempt*) to connect sonically for one whole experience. I will give you a list of styles!

Genres I will be using: Funk, Pop, Orchestral, City-Pop, Hip-hop, Jazz, Downtempo/Ambient.

The album will have 10 tracks and will be about 40ish? Minutes? Not 100% sure, but I think 40 minutes is a rough estimate. The album is being written so each song transitions into the next seamlessly. I experimented with this in Topaz, but I've always wanted to do it with a full album.

Finally, I've officially announcing my departure from FL Studio, it's been a great 7 years, but this album will be recorded, mixed and master in Pro Tools.

I'll be playing trumpet and singing on this project as well as some other MIDI stuff but I'll be crediting the other performers that I have on this album once I release the music. Stay tuned! Maybe I'll put the demos on here?... I don't expect to post a lot until the album is done unfortunately.
