Crust Jazz Tune

I wanna thank everyone for the incredible support on Cosmix, I'm very happy that people are enjoying the first single and the beginning of the change of my sound. On May 1st, I'm going to let the official change start with the 2nd single: Can't Be Swayed featuring my good friend Pink Nois. It's a hybrid genre piece fusing elements of Hip-hop, Headhunters style Jazz, and RnB. I'll let the rest of the elements of this piece be a surprise... lets just say if you like Dave Brubeck's album Time Out for the different time changes well.... I'll leave it at that.

Hi y'all! I'd like to take a moment to apologize for the lack of posts the past 2 months!... This album making has been quite a.. journey. Heh.

I'd also like to express my gratitude toward the support the past few months, as well as your patience for this new stuff to arrive! I have a trailer in the works, it'll be done once I make my way around After Effects and Premiere! As for the album, I can confidently say that the album is coming out in a month! Soo uhhhh this virus thing? Kinda ruined the album's timeline soooo I'm going to have to delay it. I'm thinking of a June/July release, it's mostly because I don't have the proper resources to record good sounding horns/vocals... I actually don't have the ability to record those at all due to the loss of a recording space due to me getting my school shut down.

I'll be honest, I feel a bit defeated, but not all is as gray as it may be! I hopefully will get to recording and finishing up everything (well) in May when I move to my apartment and will have the resources available to make good recordings! I don't want this to be just "okay" for me I want it to be done well, so please understand!

In the meantime, I'll hopefully have some other stuff set to post shortly, life's kinda crazy right now but I'm sure y'all know that...

Something is coming...

This album is coming along and I think I can disclose some information now that I have a definyitive set of plans for this thing.

Alexandrite is a complete departure from my old sound, I'm taking a risk here changing everything but I think it's a change for the better. There are some ideas of my old sound baked into this album, but to give you a general idea without spoiling it's a combination of influences like Jazz, Disco, City Pop and Funk with a commercial music flare. There are 9 tracks, each song flows into the next. You could basically listen to it as if it were one giant tune. The album itself is about 32 minutes long, and goes through various life experiences of my own. Release date? Not too sure yet, I'm thinking it'll be on the 2nd of May? I won't know until April. It'll be done before then I just want to release it the same day I do my release showing for school. This is a product of (realistically) 4 years of work. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did making it. Best part about this album is news that is yet to come but I'll leave the surprise until later after it's released.
